ELECTIONS 2024: ANC holds lead, DA and EFF follow in Gauteng
As of the latest update from the Electoral Commission (IEC), the vote tally in Gauteng stands at 57.6%, with 1,611 out of 2,797 Voting Districts (VDs) reporting. Here are the standings for the top five parties:
- ANC: 35,34% – 779 234 votes
- DA: 27,81% – 613 168 votes
- EFF: 12,37% – 272 729 votes
- MK: 10,37% – 228 690 votes
- Action SA: 3,23% – 71 210 votes
Meanwhile, nationally a total of 15 382 VDs out of 23 293 representing 66,04% have been tallied, with the following parties leading:
- ANC: 41,48% – 3 959 298 votes
- DA: 22,64% – 2 142 989 votes
- MK: 12% – 1 135 627 votes
- EFF: 9,51% – 899 936 votes
- IFP: 3,02% 286 268 votes
