As the vote counting continues, the Electoral Commission (IEC) has released the first batch of results from 4 710 completed Voting Districts (VDs) out of the total 23,293 VDs, representing 20.22% of the results.

- ANC: 43,15% – 936 857 votes
- DA: 24,65% – 530 798 votes
- EFF: 8,85% – 190 517 votes
