Police hunt for Golden Highway CIT robbers

Gauteng Police are on the hunt for a group of suspects linked to a cash-in-transit (CIT) heist that occurred on the Golden Highway, near the Olifantsvlei Cemetery early this morning.

SAPS spokesperson, Lt Col Amanda van Wyk said: “According to a preliminary report a group of armed suspects intercepted a cash van which was travelling on the Golden Highway early this morning. The suspects then blew up the cash van and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, a rifle and two pistols which they took from the cash van guards.”

It is alleged that the suspects fled the scene in a blue Audi and white Toyota Hilux.
