On 2 November, the Gauteng Community Civil Society (GCCS) organised an appreciation event for the Crime Prevention Wardens in Ennerdale. The event was a way to acknowledge their commitment, starting from the application process to completing their training, and to offer them best wishes for an upcoming camp.

During the event, GCCS distributed cosmetic starter packs for the ladies and provided 10 complimentary haircuts for the gents, courtesy of Signature Hair Salon. Bishop Dalton Adams shared words of encouragement with the kids, and a colonel from SAPS offered insights into the collaborative efforts between CPWs and SAPS in community protection.

Godfrey Adriaanse of GCCS expressed his gratitude to all partners and sponsors who made the event possible. Event decorations were skillfully arranged by Bethany Hendricks from Hendricks Events. The event also saw the participation of Edgar Welcome – Ward 7’s Ward Committee member for safety; Lynn January – NBHW’s secretary and Heavensway NPO’s Brenda Johnson.
