Residents in the affected areas, including Lenasia, Lenasia South, Anchorville, Lehae, Zakariyya Park, Vlakfontein, Finetown, and Ennerdale South and extensions, should take note of the following:

  1. Shutdown Duration: The water shutdown will take place from 6am to 6pm on Wednesday, 11 October, 2023. During this time, residents should prepare for no access to water from their taps.
  2. Reason for Shutdown: The water interruption is necessary for maintenance work on the bulk pipeline. This maintenance is intended to improve the overall water supply in the affected areas.
  3. Contingency Plan: In case the maintenance process extends beyond the planned duration, water tankers will be provided to supply water to each affected area. This is to ensure that residents have access to essential water resources during the maintenance period.

Residents in these areas should plan accordingly, storing enough water for essential needs during the shutdown period and keeping an eye on updates from Johannesburg Water regarding the progress of the maintenance work. To log complaints: customer@jwater.co.za
