The Lighthouse Foundation will host a charity event on Saturday, 7 October, outside the Hyperland Supermarket in support of underprivileged young girls who are in need of sanitary pads and hygiene products.

The initiative aims to keep a girl child in school by raising funds or collecting donations of sanitary towels and toiletries to be distributed to schools in Ennerdale.

“We appeal to members of the community to come in their numbers to support this worthy cause which can help break the stigma around menstruation. You can contribute to the drive by donating sanitary pads/toiletries or purchasing a meal ticket for R70 a plate and R25 for a Wors Roll,” said the Foundation’s Christopher Kirkwood.

For more information or to purchase your meal ticket, please contact Chris on 083 212 1013 or Beryl on 083 222 9062.

The event starts at 9am in Ennerdale 1st Ave, cnr Town & main road (Hyperland supermarket, old Spar).

Your support will make a difference in the lives of women and girls in need.
