Finetown Clinic to ease burden on Lenasia South Hospital

This afternoon, Gauteng MEC of Wellness and Health, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, officially opened the state-of-the-art Finetown Clinic set to benefit residents from Finetown, Ennerdale, Lenasia South, Meriting, Phumlamqashi, Majazana and Mountain View.

Speaking at the opening, MEC Nkomo-Ralehoko said the Clinic will ease burden on the Lenasia South District Hospital where most of the patients from the above mentioned areas were receiving treatment.

Finetown residents attended the official opening of the clinic in their numbers.

The Clinic will offer a range of services that include primary healthcare; emergency services; preventative care; acute care; chronic care; curative care; adolescence and youth friendly services; TB services, HIV counselling, testing and management services; mother and child wellness service; ante natal and post natal care; family planning screening and management; integrated management and childhood illness; rehabilitation services; expanded programme for immunization; Speech therapy; Physiotherapy; occupational therapy; Oral services; Community Outreach services and health promotions amongst others.

MEC Nkomo-Ralehoko urged community members to safeguard the infrastructure provided to them and also called upon the clinic staff and management to serve the community with a ‘smile’ and to keep the facility clean and functional at all times.
