On Sunday, 4 June, there was another break-in at the Ennerdale Meals on Wheels’ offices on 7th Avenue in Mid Ennerdale, the unknown suspects stripped the organisation’s Toyota Quantum vehicle taking the fire extinguisher, front and back lights, car radio, radiator, side mirrors, computer box and front grill.

Meals on Wheels’ Linda Roberts told GLOBE POST: “It’s so sad, yesterday I could not even go and collect the senior citizens we serve. Why are these criminals targeting Meals on Wheels? Whoever it is must be caught and brought to justice.”

A case has been opened at the Ennerdale SAPS for investigation, should you have any information about this theft, contact CrimeSTOP on 08600 10 111, Ennerdale SAPS on 011 855 1055, you can also contact Meals on Wheels on 076 315 1408.

This is so sad. They should have self respect and integrity. Rather bring back that which was stolen and protect the organization. One day they will be too old to help themselves and then Meals on Wheels won’t be there for them.
