Johannesburg Water to engage Rand Water to fix Ennerdale’s water challenges

Johannesburg Water’s Ennerdale Depot says the Ennerdale reservoir has been affected several times due to frequent pump trips from Rand Water side, which in most cases results in having one pump running instead of two pumps.

“This decreases the water levels significantly, resulting in residents having low pressure to no water. Furthermore, our telemetric system connected to the Ennerdale reservoir, which we rely on to monitor physical levels of the reservoir, has been vandalised on various occasions even after being replaced by Johannesburg Water’s electro-mechanical team,” Johannesburg Water’s spokesperson, Nolwazi Dhlamini told GLOBE POST.

The entity says it will engage with Rand Water in order to address the supply and demand challenges at the Ennerdale reservoir.

What a load of hogwash! Water shedding happens every week on a Thursday since November 2022. 8 water trucks are spotted filling at the Ennerdale Depo, however, these trucks do not deliver water to our Ennerdale residence… mxm. What a joke!
