Tennis galore at the Lenasia grand prix this weekend

All is set for the Lenasia Tennis Association’s (LTA) annual Men’s Doubles Championship to be held from 19, 20 and 21 May at the Lenasia Tech Grounds in Ext 4.

Entrance is free to witness a staggering 64 teams comprising of 128 senior players from all over the country battle it out for trophies and gift bags with Wilson products.

LTA’s secretary and administrative manager, Nadia Patel, told GLOBE POST: “We are using Tennis SA’s SportyHQ platform for fixtures with games are starting on Friday at 4pm until 9pm. On Saturday, the matches will be played from 7am to 9pm, the tournament will be wrapped up on Sunday between 7am and 5pm.”

Physios, food stalls and more will be available at the grounds.

The Lenasia Tennis Association is a community-based, non-profit organisation using its funding to uplift and develop the sport in the community through coaching, leagues, competitions and social games. It is affiliated to Tennis South Africa (TSA) and the Gauteng Central Tennis Association.
