In a touching event held over the past weekend, Umusa Community Development and Projects in partnership with Plus 94 Research company handed out school shoes at its centre in Lenasia South Ext 4.

Umusa’s Founder and CEO, Nomsa Radebe-Tshabalala told GLOBE POST: “The act of giving school shoes to really needy children should not be underestimated. We have witnessed that there are a lot of learners who drop out of school because they have proper uniforms and either their shoes are torn or they don’t have any at all. We cannot thank Plus 94 Research enough for helping us accomplish our mission and motto to ‘nurture a child, empower a nation’.

She added: “It’s fulfilling to witness a child smile from the bottom of their heart after receiving a brand new pair of shoes and the tears of joy and relief from a mother who has been relieved from the pain of failing to meet the basic needs of assisting a child to get education. It’s companies like Plus 94 and its selfless leaders like Dr Sifiso Falala and his team that we need in our country. These individuals have been constantly giving to our organisation for over five years helping our needy beneficiaries.”

Umusa has over 200 children and youth which it supports with a limited resources and calls upon local businesses, well-wishers and organisations to support it so that it can uphold its mandate.

To donate or fund the organisation, contact Pst Nomsa Radebe-Tshabalala on 076 301 6703.
