Hallelujah greetings and Good morning to all our Family, Friends, and Residents who are the community of Lenasia South and Saints of God in Christ – it is with very deep sadness that I share with you the funeral notice of our late Mum/Aunty Ray☝️☝️ or better and best known to one and all in Lenasia South as our legendary Samoosa Aunty from Liverpool Street!

Aunty Ray, worked with her own hands for many years in running a very successful home based business in selling savoury frozen and fried treats like the famous samoosa’s, spring rolls etc – her work and news of her famous treats spread all over Jhb and even made the headline news – she was mentioned on a live broadcast on 94.7 Radio Station with their breakfast morning show – Wackard

She was furthermore an instrumental member in touching hearts and changing many lives of the prisoners within Sun City Prison and various other Prisons throughout the outeach ministry journey of Love & Hope Rising since 2009 which is founded by Ps Jayshree Nariansamy.

Besides her business and giving heart, Aunty Ray together with her late husband plus her entire
Family are the VERY foundation- they are the founding members who actually built up the beautiful church building of Daxina Presbyterian Church which eventually has become Daxina Christian Centre that stands tall as a beacon of Light, Love and Hope in our community today and which we use now.

She was an inspiration and integral part of this ministry since its inception & was an integral part of the DCC family plus our community here in Lenasia South.

She was ‘The Mother’ of DCC & will be sorely missed. The funeral service will take place tomorrow – Saturday at a church in Edenvale, where she very recently began attending after she moved out of our area few months ago.

Truly a major loss for us on this side of life and also for our community too. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory with Jesus Christ our Lord!

Please keep the family in your prayers during this sad and difficult time.

From the Chairperson of Divine Intervention Lenasia South, Pastor Jayshree Nariansamy, and Senior Pastor of Daxina Christian Centre, Pastor Victor Govindasamy.
