New leadership, fresh energy: LTTA AGM signals bold new chapter

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Lenasia Table Tennis (LTTA) was successfully held on 26 March 2026 at the Gandhi Hall. Ext 5, Lenasia, where members reaffirmed their confidence in the existing leadership while welcoming five new members to the structure.

The organisation confirmed the continuation of its core leadership while introducing new appointments, marking a progressive step forward for the association.

The executive team is as follows:

Chairperson – Vikash Kasan
Vice Chairperson – Quinton James
Secretary – Javie Ravjee
Assistant Secretary – Bharat Narsia
Treasurer – Dipak Tharkordas
Assistant Treasurer – Geetesh Dama
Competitions Officer – Ashish Nathoo
Technical Officer – Naresh Nagin
League Officer – Danisha Patel
Transformation Officer – Paresh Morar
Transformation Officer – Gooly Bassa
Marketing and Media Member – Priya Ranchod

In addition, the General Committee comprises Ketan Narsi, Chirag Telar, Anil Chhiba, Anwar Suban, and Marlin Manicum.

On the competitive front,
LTTA members have delivered notable performances across recent tournaments. Danisha Patel secured victory at the 9eighteight Tournament, held on 4 and 5 April in Vanderbijlpark, in the senior category. She continued her strong form at the Denel Open, held on 11 and 12 April in Centurion, achieving further success in the senior division.

Bimal Jivraj also delivered an impressive performance at the Gauteng North Open, finishing as runner-up in the U19 Doubles alongside his partner, Rupert Bester from the Free State, where they faced Tamara and Binyamin Salie in the final. In the U19 Boys’ Singles, Jivraj secured second place after competing against Ruan Scholtz from Gauteng North.
Sameera Maal won the Masters Over-35 category, defeating Arisha Madaree from eThekwini.

The LTTA looks forward to building on this momentum, strengthening its governance, and continuing to develop talent across all levels of the sport.
