This  6th annual grand finale will be hosted at Fashion Kapitol, where 50 finalists from across the region will compete for the ultimate grand titles.

Mr & Miss Face of Lenasia is more than just a pageant- it is a charitable initiative that spans a three-month journey of practices, workshops, entrepreneurship skills and team-building activities. The pageant aims to recognise, preserve and strengthen one’s identity while promoting values such as humanism, education, giving back, responsible sexuality and awareness of gender-based violence.

The initiative encourages young people to develop their talents and potential through modeling and other stimulating activities, helping to keep them away from challenges such as teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, bullying, low self-esteem and other adolescent-related issues. The programme also advances education, the spirit of Ubuntu, responsible sexual behavior and community involvement.

“As the founder and CEO, my vision is to highlight the true beauty and essence of women and the LGBTQIA+ community, going beyond appearances to showcase leadership skills, intelligence, poise, confidence, and, importantly, raising awareness about breast cancer and gender-based violence all year round,” said Ryan Kachuwa.

This year’s journey has been supported by numerous businesses and organizations, including Golden Highway Guest House, Promettere Beauty, TGG Studios, Something Sweet Cafe, Unogwaja the Rabbit, Leerahs Eternal Bouquets, Bathathe SoFlex Photography, and Crochet by Andile_Zee.

“While crowns, dresses and stage moments are beautiful, our children deserve more. They deserve practical skills that will carry them beyond the spotlight and into real-life opportunities. I sincerely call on sponsors, businesses, community leaders, and private partners to support our crowning with any form of sponsorship, he added.

The goal is for every winner and finalist crowned on 13 December to leave with practical abilities, such as:

Baking skills, sewing or design skills, makeup or hair styling skills,  confidence in cutting, braiding, or washing hair professionally. Discipline to study and obtain a learner’s license

Through this approach, we aim to build young men and women who can survive, thrive, and create their own income – whether or not they have financial support for tertiary education, guidance, or opportunities. These skills empower them to use their hands, talent, and drive legally to sustain themselves and put food on their tables.

The organisers added: “Our youth need opportunities, not pity. Through the Mr & Miss Face of Lenasia brand, we can provide that empowerment, dignity, and restored hope.”
